Web design is the process of creating digital or digital/print products that meet user or business needs. The digital products range from web pages, digital images, digital videos, and digital text to digital audiovisual multimedia presentations.

Web design is a subset of graphic design that involves the combination of art and technology to create digital products.

Web design is a rewarding career. It’s also one of the most popular careers in today’s job market because it has such an impact on everything we do, from shopping to news, social media, and more. Another reason web design is so popular is that digital products can be created and updated quickly.

Get To Know More About Los Angeles

Los Angeles, city, the seat of Los Angeles county, southern California, U.S. It is the second-most populous city and metropolitan area (after New York City) in the United States.

The city sprawls across a broad coastal plain situated between mountains and the Pacific Ocean; the much larger Los Angeles County, which encompasses the city, contains some 90 other incorporated cities, including Beverly Hills, Pasadena, and Long Beach.

The county also encompasses two of the Channel Islands, Santa Catalina, and San Clemente; Mount San Antonio, familiarly known as Mount Baldy or Old Baldy, 10,046 feet (3,062 meters) high; more than 900 square miles (2,330 square km) of the desert; and 75 miles (120 km) of seacoast.

  1. Griffith Park: It’s easy to forget you’re still in the city as you trek through the mix of native chaparral and landscaped paths that cover this rugged park. But take one look out from the iconic Griffith Observatory and you’ll find yourself face-to-face with the L.A. Basin as it stretches out to the ocean.
  2. Academy Museum: The history of moviemaking finally has a home in Los Angeles with the arrival of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Located next to LACMA in the Wilshire May Company building and in a new and expanded space designed by Pulitzer Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, the museum features four full floors of gallery space, two theaters (including a 1,000-seat space in that giant glassy sphere) a restaurant and a gift shop.
  3. Grand Central Market: Buried in the heart of Downtown L.A. is this European-style food hall, which has been operating on the ground floor of the iconic Homer Laughlin Building since 1917. There have been plenty of changes throughout the years, with some prompting concerns about the gentrification that has pushed out older stalls to make way for newer, flashier (and oftentimes more expensive) ones. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that the culinary talent here is strong.
  4. Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA): Chris Burden’s Urban Light, a piece made up of 202 cast-iron street lamps gathered from around L.A. and restored to working order, has quickly become one of the city’s indelible landmarks over the past decade—and it’s inevitably what most visitors will identity the museum with.
  5. The Strand: Officially known as the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, this 22-mile bicycle path traces nearly the entire extent of L.A.’s westward-facing coastline. The path starts at Will Rogers State Beach and winds its way all the way down to Torrance County Beach.
  6. Echo Park Lake: After a massive makeover a few years back, the Eastside’s historic Echo Park Lake finally became a family-friendly destination worthy of its bold backdrop: the Downtown skyline amid the lotus flower blooms and fountains. The lake has been around since 1860—it was once used as a drinking water reservoir, and later as a recreational park with canoes and fishing.
  7. Pipilotti Rist: Big Heartedness, Be My Neighbor: At some point, you should probably read the materials lists for each one of Pipilotti Rist’s installations. Because that’s the only way you’d know that the garments in the entrance’s 29 Palms Chandelier are specifically used underpants, or that, yes, those lampshades in the glowing strands of Pixel Forest are indeed labia-shaped.
  8. Rosie’s Dog Beach: This stretch of sand in Long Beach is a pooch-friendly paradise. Indeed, it’s the only one of its kind: The four-acre waterfront spot is the only legal off-leash dog beach in L.A. County. The park is named after the area’s late local canine celebrity, Rosie the English bulldog.
  9. The Broad: We had a chance to visit the museum during a preview week, and while it feels mostly familiar, the Broad has made some notable curation changes for its restart. The ground-floor gallery is hosting “Invisible Sun,” a collective exhibition that features works from El Anatsui, Keith Haring, Jenny Holzer, and Julie Mehretu, among others, that speak to unrest, loss, and recovery.
  10. Smorgasburg LA: We missed Sunday strolls through dozens of restaurant stalls and pop-up shops, but thankfully, Smorgasburg L.A. is back—and with more than a dozen new vendors. Every Sunday you can find dozens of food vendors at the event’s home in ROW DTLA; many of 2021’s restaurants and makers are returning from previous years, but there’ll be new food stalls to try, too.

Metro Rail System

  • The Metro Expo Line (light rail) provides service that connects the Westside to Downtown L.A., Hollywood, South Bay, and Long Beach. The Expo Line features 10 new stations including USC, Expo Park, and Culver City.

  • The Metro Green Line (light rail) runs east and west between Norwalk and Redondo Beach, crossing the Blue Line.

Metro Bus System

  • Metro Local (painted orange) makes frequent stops along major streets throughout the city.
  • Metro Rapid (painted red) offers fewer stops and expedited travel times on the city’s major streets, with the use of special transponders that cause traffic signals to favor the bus.
  • Metro Express (painted blue) offers reduced stop service along with the city’s freeway systems.
  • The Metro Silver Line (bus rapid transit) connects the South Bay and the San Gabriel Valley to Downtown L.A.
  • The Metro Orange Line (bus rapid transit) runs from North Hollywood to Warner Center in Woodland Hills.
