● If you want tag tracking via Google Analytics, then you need to provide the Web Property ID of your Google Analytics account. From there, choose a “Track Type” to link your tag to Google Analytics tracking. This is how you add tags to your Google Analytics account.
● The next step is to choose a trigger that will determine when the tag is recorded.
● Once you are happy with all the data in the “Tag Configuration” as well as the “Triggering” boxes, you should click the “Save” button to make sure all settings are saved server-side.
● You should then click on the “Submit” button to activate the tag. Your tag will not work until you do this.
● Lastly, you will be directed to a “Container Version Description” that lets you organize your tags. You can add a name and description here, so you can be reminded of what you’re trying to record with the tag.
